I test-drove a standard M3 Evo at the weekend (for a friend, not me).

Didn't feel any quicker than the 540i I drove to see it in.

Disappointing.

Still want one though

i thought this when i first went from my 328i to my evo. takes a while to suss out how to put the power down properly.

it doesnt like giving the power out untl the oil is above 80 degrees and it needs taking right round before each gearchange. it's one of the best examples of two different cars in one shell. the sub 4k rpm car and the 4k+ rpm car are completely different animals.

I'll admit, it has been a while since I'd last driven a standard one.

To be fair, that Atlantis blue one might be a touch expensive, but it has seen a lot of recent refresh work and some nice upgrades, probably more like £6.5K to £7K tops, the colour is a bit 'marmite'. At £8K i would be expecting to get an imola individual (GT2 thing).

This seems quite cheap for the miles, although rear spolier and rear wheels are plain wrong IMO.

I didn't spot that in the poorly written ad, knew there had to be something.

Why do you say that Ferry, it's on the top end of the price range I reckon, but with its mileage
and more importantly condition, history (if verifiable of course) and the intelligent way its been
modified means that I think it's probably worth £7Kish.......

Based. On what they were changing hands for 12 to 18 months ago. The market hasn't moved upward by 30% iin that time IMO.

Given it's up for 3 and has had 4 rejected offers I think you'd struggle to pay anywhere near a bag. Just another cheap ad idiot.
