Definately a lovely car, however, I've been put off by the scary depreciation of the XF range. Better sticking with German in my opinion.
The development team did a lot of work to ensure the XF's residuals were best in class. I'm surprised to hear they're worse than the competition.Lucozade said:

Where do you get that gem from? The Pub!
XF residuals very good unfortunately as I'd have had one to replace the S-Type instead I couldn't afford one so another S it was.

Yeah, nice and everything... Doesn't give me that "yeah look how awesome the sports model looks" of say, the C63 AMG, or E60 M5, or even the M3. The outside is just a bit... Boring. Even an RS4 is more exciting-looking than this!
I thought I was the only person who thought this, I WANT to love it but the interior looks incredibly plain (as does the M3 V8`s though)the rear leg room doesn`t look THAT impressive either?I hope when I see one I will like it or hopefully love it and maybe driving one is so good that the other stuff doesn`t seem so important!

I want to really like the XFR (actually all XF variants), but the interior styling really doesn't work for me. I could just about live with the exterior, but I just dont get the excitement about the interior styling. To me it's dull bordering on naff. I much prefer the interior on the very latest XK's, so they can do it. For me it's all a bit 80's Amstrad...
I love these, have to agree with the front aspect though, the headlights look a bit Hyundai, other than that I love em!
What I don't understand is why haven't I seen more on the roads? This has happened before where a manufacturer makes a car that is praised by everyone including the press but for some reason just doesn't sell in the required numbers (I can't remember the examples off the top of my head). I have seen many many more 2006 and newer 5 series' and e classes than XF's, S types were more common 2 years after their launch.
