So by that definition, John Dodds 'The Beast' is the daddy of all shooting brakes
What this eek

I think they were intended to be used by gentlemen on their estate and would have been the height of tast and discretion. I'm afraid that fails on most counts hehe

the beast was the daddy, great ruddy tank/aircraft engine IIRC
Yea it had a Merlin engine in it, 27 litre V12, crazy!!!!

That 924 does have a remarkable resemblance to the later Z3M Coupe from the B-pillar backwards...wonder if the same design studio was responsible for the Z3M alterations...?!?

And yes, both the 924 and 944 conversions look rather nice. Not so sure about the 928 though... frown

Are these not potentially the perfect car, plenty of performance, room in back for diy tools, trips to diy store, carrying dogs room on roof for mountain bike, surf board

and hehe less weight over the back for the empty days to allow a looser approach to corners.

Now if some of the more challenging sides of the appearance can be addressed yes please.

This must surely be the best looking shooting brake conversion and I suspect sold in the greatest numbers:

Absolutely. That would do me as a 'company van' for my little venture, someday... cloud9 - what was the build quality of the conversion like?
