Hey guys, i fancy an MX-5! Anyone see anything wrong with this one? Apart from the fact it doesnt have wing mirrors! confused

Very hard to say without seeing it but I'd say it isn't too bad price wise, although you could probably get a better deal buying privately.

Sounds like it's had a strange repaint (fades to green?!) and later on he says the paintwork isn't in great condition, so it may need another respray as you may have trouble colour-matching the first one if there's any spraying to be done.

On mileage terms (never mind age) it'll be due a cambelt change soon (although they're non-interferance so it's not catastrophic if the belt does go).

It's got (reputable) aftermarket dampers on the front - but that implies there's something different on the back.

The battery has been replaced - but has the right replacement been fitted? Quite often you'll find the wrong type.

The aerial and window faults are common, I wouldn't worry too much about them.

It's got a new hood though, which is always good.

Basically, I'd keep looking and pay a bit more for a straight 1.8 post-1995 import (i.e. with a proper Torsen diff not the viscous one) but it depends on your budget I guess.

Cheers for that, will keep looking budget around £1500 mark could stretch though to £2k perhaps(!)
