Vauxhalls with Porsche technology? Somehow I can't see the next Astra having a Bettle engine in the back. ;O)

I dunno, you tell me?

I know perfectly well that it's mid-engined, but my comment was about the way it looked, and it DOES look like someone traced a TT.
You already know what it is and if you still think this is no better than a minor facelift on the old TT, frankly, you're wasting your time here. You know like when you could get your eyes checked. biggrin
Well aren't you a hero? Ignoring the point I'm making and instead concentrating on being an asshat. Happy Christmas. ps off.
Steady on at the back.

Oddly enough if it goes ahead Porsche may well slap their badge on it, to sit beneath the boxter & tt, with the cheaper ones being the vw's. Can't see what's wrong with that.

As you were

[quote=son of clarkson]if you feel the need to buy a VW or Audi DON'T. Just pop round the corner and get either a Seat or Skoda there the same blredfacedy cars with different badges and a damn site cheaper.

Same platform / drivetrain / suspensions, true.
Now, go and buy a A3 Sportback and at the same time the equivalent Octavia or Leon.
Run them for 3 years / 45,000 miles and sell them.

You'll find that total real world running costs incl. depreciation are about the same.
Only difference, the Skoda / Seat will feel twice the age as the Audi and twice the rattles and NHV.

I should know, we have done exactly that with my wife's Leon 2.0 TDI and my A3 TDI.
Why buy the cheapo one when the nicer one costs the same to run and own ?
