Which "modern" cars rust badly?

Jaguar XK8s are failing on front floor pans and inner sills.
X types should be failing too, but thats just personal opinion.
As an owner of an old X-Type, I will have to disagree with you sir. X types should be failing too, but thats just personal opinion.
As a regular on various Jaguar/X-Type forums, rust is never mentioned as a problem.
A customer recently had to scrap
an 03 ford ka because remedial work for rust made it uneconomical for him to put a fresh mot on it(I sold him a golf)Pumas always rust around the rear wheel arches, with mondeos and focuses it is mainly door bottoms.I recently took a 98 e class that was so rusty it was a lost cause-I sold it in the trade for £600

Badly.
The ones I have spotted are always around the fuel cap area.Badly.
There have been a few articles in Car Mechanics about indifferent protection from the elements on metal parts under smaller Fords this millenium.
Car Mechanics have currently got their teeth into the MB problems. It makes troubling reading . MB are apparently repairing corrosion to cars up to ten years old (from memory) with proportionate contributions from owners (eg car is 8 years old, owner pays 80%), it seems. My numbers may well be out in terms of years (am reporting this from memory, the articles are in the loft), but some support is there from MB!
