Re: 2.0 HDi 8 Valves 110HP.
I'm a Car Tech' I've Owned a Few.
My Present Car is: Citroen C5 Estate 2.0 HDi 8V 110, Exclusive, Leather etc.
It Has 355,000 Miles on it. I get 52 MPG @ 70mph on Cruise / Motorway.
I get 48/50 MPG @ 70 if I Have 1/2 Ton in Back.
a few things Don't work @ Mo, BUT I Don't Care, Low Insurance / Tax.

Sorry to Waffle, Here Goes:
  • 2.0 HDi 8 Valve = Bullet-Proof, Take Care of & DON'T Abuse Them, Service etc, Oil + Filters Every 5 - 8k Miles (It's VERY Cheap)
Cam Belts, Pulleys, Water Pump at the Same Time & They Will Go On Forever.
  • 16 Valve = a little More Delicate BUT Still as Above.
  • 1.6 HDi 8 or 16 Valve = " a Very Delicate Engine " if Over-Worked i.e. in BIG Heavy Car e.g. C5, 407 etc = BANG !
  • the Clutches on Them Failing is Usually Because They ae Used in Town/Traffic a lot or the Driver/S Being a bit of a Low IQ'd Brute (Oh This PC Stuff, Really)
