Re: Peugeot: GTi is RIP

just annoying - peugeot moving further in the wrong direction. Not one car in the current range that has anything to make you want to go out and buy one - early 90's line up was the end of half respectable (& more reliable) cars, doesn't even have to be sporty just inspirational..by contrast renault reviving gordini..now there's some honest fun on the horizon...we hope..
I always wanted a 306GTi6 when they were for sale. I ended up with a 306XT, which was still fun to drive, but I always desired the GTi. I find it hard to understand how Peugeot can sit around and let other manufacturers like VW & Renault produce these desirable little hot hatches that look good and are very exciting to drive.
I agree with one of the earlier comments that IMO Peugeot doesn't have a single car in their current lineup that makes the heart beat faster with desire.
That is a real shame, because I am sure the Peugeot Citroen group have plenty of talent onboard who would salivate with the prospect of constructing another 205GTi or 306GTi6.
COME ON PEUGEOT!!!! Give us a desirable, good looking, exciting to drive hot hatch.
