hmm, I personally would say a Lotus Elise is a drivers car, a Porsche 911 is a hairdresser's car, a Mitsubishi Evo however, is not. It does everything for you.Yes its a fast car, but its fast with no real skill needed - which IMHO is the opposite of a drivers car.

Ive owned and Evo and a 911 and I was bemoaning the fact just yesterday that the 911 fails to thrill in the same way that the Evo did. And it does nothing for you.#If you turn the Steering wheel the car goes that way, if you press the accelerator etc etc
I can't be arsed digging out photos at the moment, but my list agrees with most on here:
Porsche 944
Porsche 911
BMW M5 E34/E39
Ford Escort RS1800 Mk2
Ford Fiesta Supersport (retro goodness)
VW Golf Mk1 GTi & Mk2 GTi
Dodge Charger & Challenger 440RT
Plymouth Barracuda/Hemi Cuda
Jaguar XJR
Lancia Delta Integrale
Volvo 142/242 with B234 Turbo
Bentley Arnage T/Brooklands
Chevrolet Camaro 1969 SS/RS
Probably more, can't be arsed to think
