C4
As opposed to a C2?
Barely any difference. Ive driven enough c2's, and perhaps on a track you might notice a slight difference but not on the road as a day to day driver
beg to differ, there's plenty of difference

I may be rather biased, but I have rather a soft spot for this:

Not at all. Hes never owned an Evo. He just did that babyish thing that everyone does where they start crying and pretend that anything with ABS is the same as KITT from Knight Rider that drives you where you want to go, despite the fact that a 911 has more electronics than an Evo.
And he's quite small.

Day to day, I can't tell the difference thus they are very similar.
Maybe if I drove one after the other I might, and Im sure on a track Id notice.
But I bow to your driving ability!

yes, we've had this argument before.

I only test drove the EVO (VIII FQ-320 etc ad infintum..) as i only test drove the 996 C4 and decided i much prefered the C2 (to me it felt completley different, but what do i know).

I have nothing against electronics, i just didnt like the lack of feel in the EVO, which was a similar concern i had with the RS4 and M5's i tried...

it's nothing to do with ability but more to do with feeling the weight over the front

drive a 911 long enough and you'll be able to feel the difference between a full and empty fuel tank

How did a c4 and a c2 feel different in a test drive Fidg? Genuinely curious as thier characteristics are in theory almost identical unless you are sliding sideways or getting the rear end around a corner?

As regards teh lack of feel in an Evo- you just havent spent enough time in one.
I couldn't agree more about the M5 and Rs4- exactly my sentiments.

it was a while ago, but i think i had test drove 2 C2's, then tried a C4 and remember finding it didnt seem to turn in the same - i found it heavier and less agile i guess..

It was only a 10 minute test drive but i came away not liking the drive anywhere as much as i did the previous ones, now it could have been that particular car, as i havent driven a C4 since..
