I'd argue it isn't too high. The proof of that is the guarantee that all 77 will sell.

The DBS looks like a DB9 that's ram raided Halfords!

The Gumpert Apollo, Caparo T1, the fking Kia Picanto... Those cars are function over form, but this Aston is a stunning thing to look at, it might be designed with function in mind but it's still a beautiful piece of kit.

I've never wanted a car to be good so much.
come on, Kelly Brook's tits are stunning, but then so is a smack in the face with a shovel. That doesn't make them both equally worth having.

Edit: so her name's Brook, apparently...

Huge price tag, but the kind of people who buy these cars won't be bothered about the price. Stunning car, definately one for Mr Craig in the next Bond film.

It reminds me of the Escort Cosworth with all it's tinsel attachments. Visual impact, yes. Elegance and class, no.

Will it drive better than a Porsche? If so, why make only 77 copies?
How large do you think the world market is for £1M+++ cars?

Supercars are meant to be outrageous and spark debate though aren't they??

...therefore I'd say this one was spot on the mark!

And personally, I think it looks bloody fantastic, very contemporary take on a classic Aston shape, you can tell whats its spawned from, but looks different enough to separate it from the "lesser" models.

Top notch car and I would have to agree that the price is more than justified.

its Aston's 'big hairy boll##s, look at meeeee car' It is fabulous, but rightly limited to 77... Imagine them making and selling 5000 a year, everyone would stop buying Astons.. It's a niche car, for those who already have a well stocked garage. It looks and sounds mental, and I want one!!

Looks super, sort of like the aston thats had cosmetic enhancing surgery and its worked quite nicly, still part of the family but looks slightly different at the same time, in a botox and silicon kind of way.

Very nice - dramatic, but not 5-6 times better than your average aston. For 1.2mil , think of the amount of cars you could have in the fantasy garage and still make room for a lovley super car

And Aston will have to compete with them, and others, to shift these.

no, it isn't a Zonda. It's different.

It's also better looking to me, so if I had a million to spend on a car, I'd spend it on the Aston.

I would have thought alot of these would have already been sold? I don't think they will have any trouble selling this car.

The story is that they are all sold, so I don't think Dr Bex is losing any sleep over this one.

The interesting thing to know would be whether they make any profit on it. VW makes a loss on each Veyron sold.

It does look like a pretty fine Aston.

But I have to say that at £1.2m, 220mph is hardly a headline figure where you could do that about 20 years ago with an XJ220 Jag then 240+ with the McLaren F1 and subsequently a couple of Koenigsegg offerings and a Bugatti and each will save you a few quid.

I hope its amazing in some other way.

Who cares, 99.9% of us couldn't even afford the insurance.... but what other manufacturer spends time on "new 7.3 litre V12 engine" in these economic and climate fear times?

Heres to hoping it sounds like God Gargling Angry Tigers :-)
