just goes to prove the sheer self confidance of the man! It will either be the greatest comeback ever, or an unmittigated failiure, i cant see an intbetween for schumey. In other words, he wont b a midfield monkey. I can see the car being a belter too! O/t but We should start a PH sweepstake, first race the bbc use 'the great escape' , 'battle of britain' or any various jokes about the war!

Either way, Hamilton comes across as a *bit* smug where as Jenson comes across as a true racer to me, can't wait for the first race now whatever happens.

interesting to see how his neck holds up through testing first though... even then can it stand a season of battering .. !?

Should be an interesting season if his neck does hold up and the Ferrari fan club FIA keep their noses out!

also isnt he 41 (not 40 as the article suggests) - being picky here but you know, details are details..

Does anybody else worry that there could be a headline this year 'Schuey killed in F1 Tragedy'. I just have a dreadful feeling this could be the case. Im sure he retired for his wife and his childrens sake. I think this could become a terrible mistake.

You are all forgetting that other quick German Herr Vettel who will spank the lot of them in the right car, and he is a little younger than Michael.should be quite entertaining.

Which is more likely to kill you

A)Racing high power Bikes.
B)Racing in an F1 car.

I'd think his Wife and kids are very happy with the move back to F1

Jealousy is a terrible thing. Would I be correct in saying those English Losers have won the championship 2 years in a row?

That would be the English losers who are both world champions. Try putting your brain into gear before putting fingers to keyboard in the future.

superb. F1 2010 is shaping upto be a very interesting season. I hope he does well but I think he may struggle with the current crop of young drivers.

Can't take anything away from his achievements to date though.

I feel sorry for Rosberg, he won't be able to race now. He'll have to 'do a Rubens' frown

Jenson a "true racer"?, imo there will be 3 racers on the grid next year....Hamilton, Schumacer and Vettel (i think).

ETA: Make that four, Kobayashi.

He's currently 40 but will be 41 by the time the first race comes round.

So the old cheat is back then. I hope he finishes the season with nill points!

Seriously I hope the Hamilton/Button competition will be good, but I think Button will simply be outdriven.

There's going to be fireworks.

I can't see Hami, Vettel, Button or Kobyasha giving into Schumi bullying. No-one will give way.

Oh I'm so excited already !!

I'm also hearing it's a 3 year deal, so seriously serious, not just playing for a year.

PS Loving the RAF Roundels vs German Cross idea ! I hope Silverstone get it and start playing dambusters March etc while they're on the grid.

Did Silverstone definately get that 17 year deal to host the British GP?
If so, along with this news, Button and Hamilton doing great, this season is shaping up really well.
