Admiral multicar insurance. Any good?
Discussion
I use Admiral Multicar.
My car is £1800 (The joys of being 18 and less than a years driving experience - well it was when I took the policy anyway) - next cheapest was £2300 from there sister company (Bell).
Mums car is £250 ('08 1.6 Qashqai) - about £150 cheaper than the next (2 Claims, 1 fault, Sleep Apnoea)
Dads car is £120 (59 1.2 Twingo) - About £50 cheaper than next (No accidents, full NCB).
Works out well for the 3 of us - means I can get reasonably affordable insurance on my own, earning my own no claims - works out cheaper than most of my friends are paying on 1.0-1.2 Saxo's/Corsa's/106's etc. - even those who are fronting.

It does sound like quite a good idea, although I only have one car so it's not much use. I'm with Admiral, though, and they're very good. They've consistently provided the cheapest quotes and their call centre birds with Welsh accents always sound hot. Good enough for me!
Sound good on the phone.Add three stone.

I've got it, and I'm a big fan of admiral, been with them for four or five years now.
Had multi car on 3 cars in the past, currently on two. Saves 20% or more on subsequent cars.
Had a claim on one of them, you only loose no claims on the car that the claim is against (although mine were protected so wasnt a problem)
I had heard bad stuff about Admiral claims process but it was actually a doddle, car was picked up within an hour or two of calling them, was fixed about 3 weeks later, would have been a week but christmas got in the way in the middle.
Admiral are consistently cheapest for me for the mundane stuff (currently a mondeo and the GFs fiesta) and also for my Tuscan and S8 when I had them (by quite a margin, even over the specialists)

I`ve just switched to Admiral Multicar.
The individual renewal quotes (Liverpool Victoria & Elephant) came to over £600. This is for my A2 and the wife`s FR-V, both with over 8 years NCB.
I`ve got both covered with Admiral for £450 with protected NCB so a good deal.
Of course you only get to know how good the company is in the event of a claim so time will tell.

PH Discount you say ?Very good of you.
I use Admiral Multicar and have found them to be very competitive on price and reckon I save approx £200-£250 a year having as opposed to having three separate policies. Switched from Elephant previously who were one of the cheapest. No complaints with the service, have never had to wait on the phone for long and always dealt with reasonably quickly.
I believe there are call centres in Wales, India & the US. Presume it depends on the time of day when you call where you get transferred to?
As others have said, it's a separate policy for each car with separate no claims.

Beem with Admiral for years. Consistently the cheapest, good level of cover and English call centres.
I can't comment on Multicar though.
I have to say they are consistently the cheapest for me as well. Perhaps it's postcode dependent.I can't comment on Multicar though.
My Dad just took up a multicar policy and he got his Z4M and Volvo insured for cheaper than the next best quote on just the Z4. I can't comment on their services after an accident (touch wood) but setting it all up is all nice and simple and they're easy to talk to.

Without turning this into an Admiral ass-kissing thread, I drive a Z4 too, and they were by far my cheapest quote.Regarding their services after an accident, I can't fault them. I made my first ever claim a few months ago, and the girl at the welsh call-center was fantastic. I had my car picked up that afternoon, and a Golf Gti courtesy car dropped off the day after. I also have a login for their online site where I can check the progress of my claim.
But.. that tv advert. Ditch it, Admiral! I hate it! Aaaaaargh!!!!
