Still a knobbers car.

If I bought one, every time I pulled up next to a Range Rover at the lights, I would die a little inside.
Have you seen the latest Range Rover? It's been facelifted to look more like the Range Rover Sport, with more chrome on the grille; I'm sure it looks fine in California, but over here it looks a bit vulgar. Next to that the X5 is rather understated!
Ah, had not seen the 2010 facelift before, it does look a bit vulgar.

I still hold that for a 4x4 you cannot beat an '02-'06 Range Rover in dark green.

Thanks for that.

My wife likes her X5. I like my Range Rover. They are very different cars to drive and to live with. The X5 does somethings better the Range Rover does other things better.
Is she a WAG, does she wear sunglasses and an orange fake tan? Or does she just get angry on the road and want something she can ram the plebs out of the way with.

Sorry but it's a stereotype of X5 drivers- rude obnoxious women or rude obnoxious men with small willys. And to be fair, it seems to hold 9 times out of 10, if your wife's the exception then I do apologise.

eek It's got those mahoosive flared nostrils like the 7 series. It's as if BMW is caricaturing itself. Scarily fugly.

How exactly have you determined that the 'small willy' stereotype holds true?

Actually, never mind.

I've never met his wife but I'm fairly confident in stating she doesn't have a willy therefore is the exception.

I have no interest in owning one of these pavement pounders ...... but everyone to their own I suppose.

I do think that BMW have shot themselves in the foot though. This new X5 looks just like the existing X3 ....... brilliant! Doh!

In fairness, whilst the X6 still exists the X5 does seem relatively sensible.
