In fairness I was a total chav back then (18). All 9 stone of me drove this 1800 powerhouse with the obligatory cruising-straightarm whilst rocking a bright yellow puffa. Yeah baby! That's how I rolled!!!
At first I actually had the last M made up as the //M, complete with coloured stripes. Got pulled every day for a week.
I bought it off the DVLA for peanuts, and sold it on for a fair few beans
I've heard of pushing the limits....then there's that At first I actually had the last M made up as the //M, complete with coloured stripes. Got pulled every day for a week.

Mine is in my profile, don't have the picture on my laptop to post up though. I like it and it's brought a few smiles from people. Was a bit of cheap fun

Proof positive that private plates are the reserve of wkers... or is that WAN734S?
I had a plate on retention when I lived in Perth Oz "BOLLO X"
As they didn't know what it meant, and you can have what you like (as long as it's not offensive just like in California I understand), I thought what the hell. Only cost $200 back then (1996)
An Asian guy in Perth had "ADAM 1" as it was good luck to have first person in the world and number one. Cost him feck all.
I'll have to admit to briefly thinking of buying "AP10 PLE" for my company.
Then I came to my senses.

I was behind a Bentley Continental yesterday and the whole car was utterly ruined by his horrible, cheap NI "BAZ...." numberplate. Utterly naff!
Some of those horrors above defy belief - I've not personally got a problem with spacing of plates as long as the font is legal etc - but those people deserve the book absolutely throwing at them. I have no idea whatsoever what most of those are meant to be.

The gent I bought my car from used to own PEN15 and sold it to Parish. I believe Steve also used to own the plate PAR15H which he had on, iirc, a Lotus Esprit.
My dad had JAN 150 K on a transit.
It didn't occur to us that it spelt out Janis OK until someone asked to buy it off us.
This was well before private plates were big business. God knows what we could have sold it for. I think dad got £50 and a donation to charity.
I wonder if that plate is still around.

I own F6CKA AND F9CKA amongst many other plates which need to be altered in order to read what they say (INCLUDING MY PLATE D3HNO (ALTERED TO READ D3ANO), SURELY these would come under this real rubbish chav plates section, I like them though for some reason and they seem to sell pretty well.
Please don't slate me! haaaa
