Also to concentrate on a cars on the road environmental impact is to exclude its true dust to dust impact. Some make great shakes about the likes of a Prius, but in reality a Prius is more damaging over its complete life time than a top of the range Range Rover. If fact the most environmentally friendly car you can buy is a Jeep when you look at its entire lifetime impact.
Unless you can show me a link that has some believable figures from reliable sources that proves this, I call shenanigans on this "fact".
Here you go for a start, you can read the whole report but it is over 400 pages long:

http://www.hybridcars.com/environment-stories/dust...

http://www.hybridcars.com/forums/dust-dust-automot...

http://www.physicsforums.com/archive/index.php/t-1...
All three of those links are about the flawed CNW Research paper which was by the same company that has commissioned work deliberately set out to shoot down EV projects in protectionist measures for the US auto industry. Just one example of how retarded it is, is that they assume a Hummer will have a lifespan of 250,000 miles and a Prius will have a lifespan of 100,000! That gives a massive 250% advantage to the hummer based on a totally made-up and unjustifiable figure. They also factor in development energies into the Prius they have not included for the Hummer. It's been discussed on here before, and it's so full of holes it's laughable.

The only reason it gets any airtime at all is because it suits a few people's agendas. Read the links yourself if you don't believe me!

Trust me, it's utter, utter bks.

This car might well spend most of its time cruising the kings Road on its batteries alone, how is that a bad thing?
fk the whales, that'd be the greatest tragedy ever.

Its funny the top three 'retouched'? images look stunning but the real car shots much less so, mind you the Elise windscreen just looks likes its sat on top, its too small.
+1

I saw the rendered images and thought "wow", then i saw those in the metal and, well, it looks less than wow, with the wheels contributing to the let down.

The silver colour of the car doesn't seem the normal CGT silver, it's as if it's got 1000 layers of lacquer on it and it's too shiny.

Now if we could see one in Black. smile

Still got that awful over-detailed shine.

IMHO.

Black for sure though.

Best one yet IMO. Utterly perfect proportions.
