not that bad looks pretty good from the blurish photo's.
Its local to me and i've seen it several times and it looks terrible in the flesh and the guy who owns its calls himself Elvis.
Even in the photos, it looks like its been rendered rather than painted

Spotted this stunner at Oulton Park today.
What a tool - one of my all-time faves on this thread! clap

What is the blue strap at the front for? If you pull it does it make drifting wheelspin noises?? jester

Would that 'Buxton Motor Spares' rear wing get through an MoT sticking out like that? nono
Not that I think there is anything decently modified about that thing, but its ok compared to one that is far worse than that rocking around my neck of the woods!!

Oh dear!

Ok not the worst example, but saw this on another forum and just wondered what the owner was thinking hehe

Maybe they were auditioning their car for Fast & Furious 6 with all the extra led's, neon's & drl's hehe

Jesus! What have they done to that poor old Beetle?

Seriously, what's wrong with it?

was on the TV last night, classic car something or other programme where they buy an old wreck (possibly wrecked for the purposes of the show) and then do it up, and try and get it valued at a profit. It's basically a slightly more sedate version of pimp my ride. The workmanship looks ste. The valuer picked up on the aftermarket/pattern front spoiler (as did I *smug*) and the non-standard whale-tail; aswell as paint flaking off all over the place. Think the car was £7k and the resto was the same again ish. Still valued it at a significant profit despite a very noticeable squeaky whine coming from somewhere engine-wise. The interior re-trim didn't look that great and the paint isn't a porsche colour either.

Plus Bernie's claim that it was a 3.3 L confused, also the £2k on parts they spent, seemed a bit of a made up figure since they needed wheels and tyres and a complete interior plus some body parts, new suspension e.t.c. the Final valuation of £22k did seem high when you compare it what late 70's 911 are on offer in the classifieds.

e.g. This looks a much better car for £13k

What is the significance of this - good oil pressure?

I suppose, at 2,000 rpm it is decent, also the one in the 5th gear programme presumably has no history with it, apart form Bernie cleaned the points and replaced the air filter, whereas on something like that blue one it's reassuring to see what has been replaced over the years.
