Working on my eldest son's volvo parked on my drive, lying alongside the volvo forgot it was in gear turned the key it started and pootled off across the road hitting my youngest son's pug and writing it off.
It dragged me with it ripping my rotator cuff muscle which still feels like someone tore it out and did a john cleese on the volvo with the bloody end.
This was 2 years ago and, btw, volvo unmarked.

So I bought my boyhood dream car and sadly wrote it off on the A1 hydroplaning in the rain. I pop my foot down once an BAMM! ended up facing the wrong way on a patch of the road with no lights. Pretty scary and devastated to lose the MR2.
That's a shame to see... I had two of those as company cars - one after another. I loved them. NDA said:

Just round the corner from me! The number of near misses I've had on that junction from people jumping the red is ridiculousNoah EV said:

They're not too good in crashes?
Both cars stood up pretty well... Its a 50mph road (used to be a 70mph road), I had minimal braking as she literally turned straight across my path, so probably hit at around 30-35mph, best part of two tonnes of Mustang into a Clio's door. They're not too good in crashes?
The strongest bit of the Clio is the upright in the A-Pillar, that didn't budge, and the Mustang crumpled around it. Everything did what it was supposed to do.

Yeah, that is true but I have heard that the Mustang is not the best in crashes anyway, think the EuroNcap was a initially 2 and got upgraded to a 3 with the refreshed model, but to be fair to it, its a strong enough car, its just the safety systems and child occupant protection dont pass muster compared to a lot of other modern cars.
Yep. It was things like it not having an AEB system or lane assist and it being a fairly terrible vehicle to transport children safely in. Adult occupants in the front seats were pretty well protected. The mustang would actually be quite good in a front impact like that because the bonnet is approximately half a mile long and has a lot of empty space under it for things to move about before deciding they’d run out of places to go and ending up in the cabin.

Well that is scary. Just a few pages back on this thread i posted my Renault Megane which i crashed. My next car six months later was a 1997 Toyota MR2 Rev 4 , in Goodwood Green just like this.......
Your picture gave me the chills!
Had mine for 7 years, pretty much identical to yours! You must have been a bit hard on it to lose it like that , i never had any traction issues with mine!
