What Nissan don't mention is the fact that there are no tyres around for the GTR so most cars will beat a used one waiting for Dunlop or Bridgstone to supply! If you're driving a German car.......stay that way and keep your hair and your blood pressure intact!
Most people that i know with GTR's that drive and track use either Toyo's or Advan's. Mind you, most of them are on aftermarket wheels too ....

All the German Marques carry out negative advertising just a little less blatant i suppose check this out, apparently it upset a few people in the parent company VW as it was going to be used by Porsche to show their group membership and this was a quick google find :-)
Do you have a link for that? I don't remember that coming out as a marketing campaign as such. From memory it was created by the press to illustrate the possible merger/buy out. When you're top of your respective markets, there is no need to run negative advertisting campaigns.

this whole thing has really got my blood boiling,as a porsche owner,...i recently saw a you-tube video of nissan's latest ad campaign in germany, where two tarts were going thru berlin, and whenever they came upon a 911, they would paste over the owners front windshield with a plastic stick-on sheet of the image of the back of a nissan gtr,...supposedly implying that that's what a 911 owner would see when they dared "challenge" agtr,...firstly,..here in the states,..if someone messes with someone elses car,..they are very likely to have their "NUTS" blown off,...not kidding!,..YOU DON'T MESS WITH PEOPLES CARS!,...secondly,...this comes off as very desperate and childish on nissans part,...they now sell 22 cars a month stateside,...and admittedly are getting very desperate and silly in their lame attempts to supposedly "pull" porsche owners away from their beloved 911's,..not gonna happen!,...has nissan ever had the balls to admit that the car they benchmarked for the gtr to take away the crown from WAS THE PORSCHE 911 TURBO?,.and further more, like THIS is really gonna convince a 911 owner to drop his porsche for a nissan,...not happening, and WON'T happen,...witness the gtr's dismal sales numbers,...i actually think the gtr's ultimant destiny will be as another in a long line of failed attempts to de-thrown the 911 turbo as the sports-car benchmark,..and in a few years, nissan will queitly kill off the gtr,...to be remembered as a great, but flawed 911 killer that didn't succeed!,...these ad campaigns only highlight nissan pitiful desperate attempts, and come off very badly to any sophisticated consumer,..of which most buyers of 100,000 dollar and up cars are,...

That GTR thingy doesn't sound as good as the Audi though, huh?
Friend has a GTR, the sound is earth shattering, far better than his RS4, but the RS4 doesn't go wrong, and the GTR does nothing but go wrong.nonuts said:
