I've driven round Balocco and don't recall any gradients as seen in the 1st so called spy pic. As for Alfa V6 power, would that be the pathetic excuse of an engine to be found in the Brera? Hope not.
How dare you insult that legendary Busso V6 power plant!

The Brera is a fat pig.
lol he wasn't insulting the Busso, he was insulting the Holden block V6.

Would insulting the Busso be an automatic banning from the forums? wink

It looks f*cking fantastic, but what are the chances? The Fulvia concept of five or six years ago met with incredibly positive response, and that was in a market segment where Lancia could expect to make some money with a decent car. This isn't going to happen is it?

More to the point, if it IS going to happen, please make it a MR2 type coupe or sportscar that normal people can afford! PLEASE!!!!

The car is a one off, and it belongs to Martin Kapp, the same guy who commissioned Zagato to make the Alfa Romeo TZ3. frown
Just in case he decides to sell it do let us know.

The last I heard sales had dropped record levels in Italy! If the Italians aren't buying Lancia who else will? Something like this or the Fulvia concept penned a couple of years ago might, just might, revive the brand.
not sure about that didn't they outsell alfa in europe last year? Don't catch typical British media anti-Lancia negativity
No anti Lancia sentiment from me. I grew up on a diet of Fulvias, Flavias, Prismas and Themas before owning a Y10 myself. Given the chance (and available funds) I'd happily buy a well sorted Montecarlo.
Look at what Fiat have done with the brands though... Fiat has stayed in the same market that they always held. Small & cheap. Alfa have finally been allowed to head back towards their sporting roots. Ferrari hasn't changed at all, except that the cars are hideously styled now. Maserati, whilst still a little lost in terms of historic brand image at least do a GT which sort of gets them close to what they did in the 60's & 70's. Lancia on the other hand has a brand image which seems to be more quirky than anything else. The engineering, styling (50's & 60's cars) and innovation of the past is no more than a distant memory. As much as I want Lancia to survive, unless they start to produce cars like the Fulvia concept and the customer Stratos, they're likely to sink without a trace.

Now that is one nice car! put 700bhp in it and you've got a winner!

The original Stratos is lovely but I don't like the new one. The original is obviously fashioned from the Seventies. This just looks awkward like the new Dodge Charger.

Must admit, I don't agree that it looks fantastic. It's proportions are very wrong. However, it is as cool as a polar bear's nut sack.
It sort of looks to me the same way that the new Dodge Challenger looks to the original car. Very similar, but modern surfacing techniques and pressings 'clean' it up a bit; whilst making it look fatter.

Don't think the wheelbase looks that short on this, not in comparison to the original. Difficult to get an idea of the scale admittedly...

Just. Magnificent.
As more I look at it, I MUST have one.

I hope there will be a production run of some sort.

This is the best car proposal for a long time.
And please, do not touch the design any more. Nowhere. No compromises with engineers about this an that and the other, please.
It is just perfect like this.

(This pictures must be taken somewhere in a design studio because the car sits on a turn table. Seems to be a grotty place though)

But the result is stunning!

Sod the convertible idea. And ffs don't consider a piddly 1.4 in it.

Think that those who find it reminds them of an Elise, looks wise, should think again. Perhaps the Elise reminds them of the [original] Stratos ;-)

And I know which is the quicker. Sod the comments about not handling well. My Stratos replica (with near-original suspension geometry) is noticeably quicker than Elise and Exige Lotus cars around Zolder. Do agree it can be a handful, but it is FUN biggrin
New Stratos mit Ferrari-V8

Too much high end luxury, surely not what the Stratos is about. Would prefer an Italian six pot and cheapen the build so you can sell it at £50-60k

I wonder if Lancia are thinking of using it to return to the WRC? Now THAT would be cool!
