Amazing! A car which actually justifies the annoying JC-ism 'Epic'!

I want/need a '55 or '63 engined Merc, a CLS is my current semi-realistic hope!

Makes you wonder if they'll do a new V12 and then the AMG version of the V12. This has to be at least on par with the outgoing S65 at S63 prices.
they should put the v12 amg that they use for the pagani zonda in the s65 amg.

CHEESE ON BREAD!!!
I'll have a CL63 8 years from now thanks. Assuming road tax hasn't risen to £2000/annum that is. Ticks every single box for me, Merc, V8, Autobox, Turbo, two door......

I don't mind losing a kidney as I have two. Any takers?

I'd want a decent warranty too at that age!

Would be nice I suppose. Having said that the last two cars I bought, (with my own money), have oth been the big Merc coupes. Didn't have a warranty or anything major with either. But AMG parts are a little more costly than the norm so I guess you're right.
But then I can survive with just the one arm I think.

Lol! I do that one to, "yeah love I got 30mpg out of the CLK on the way home today" (read 24 for the 10 mins I did not have my foot down!).

combined economy figure that’s close enough to 30mpg for us to overlook the difference. (26-point-something is close enough for PH, surely?)
Anything over 20mpg counts as almost 30mpg in my book, especially if the wife is reading it.

Looking forward to the CLS 63, then....
Will be great and the loose so much in the first 3 Years- so in 4 years from now....

With Weissbier and Weisswurst, that is (Haendlmaer Senf a must)

edited to add - how did they keep the emission figures in the performance packet identical - is this a typo or does that mean there is scope in the normal version to reduce further???

Apart from that thinking of that summer in the UK gobal warming ain't all that bad hehe

We all know where that sort of attitude leads...

Sorry I should of explained, they do much better cold tasty beer, no one can compete with the Brits if your looking for warm, bitter beer, you have that one nailed down.
It's not served warm it's served at cellar temperature which is about 11 degrees C. Warmer than straight from the fridge (about 5 degrees C), but less than room temperature (unless it's a very cold room).

I've some news for PH and Brits in general.. German beer is much much better..
It's not. The variety is miniscule compared to Britain. You can walk into any supermarket now and have your pick of beers from around the world. Walk into a German establishment and if you're lucky there might be yet another Pils, this time from the land of Czech. The beer is fine but the range is miniscule. It's just Pils, Pils and Pils. I asked my German host if he'd ever tried any Belgian beers. Despite being a Pils-swiller he had no idea that they even particularly 'did' beers. I searched in vain but found nary a hint of Hoegaarden, Duvel, etc. Belgium! It's right next door and you don't import! Jesus wept.

(Nice car.)

So Germans don't import beer...what does that tell you?

It was just a joke....

Sex on wheels!

A true all-rounder, and definitely one on the list of dream cars. I just love this thing.

So big, yet so quick and agile.

Not really much you can fault with it to be honest....

It needs to have oval tailpipes instead of those trapezoid ones. Otherwise great car. Probably have it fettled by Brabus though
In case you intend to drive your Merc for longer than a month, you should delete Brabus from your inner hard disk.

0.37 kg per hp with 544 hp or 0.36 kg/hp with 577hp. These give a weights of 1511 kg or 1586 kg. Under 1600 kg seems a really good low weight for a massive vehicle with a monster engine but makes the fuel economy not nearly as impressive as I first thought.

You have never been to Bavaria, have you - in a half decent pub you get at least 6 different beers, and that's if the are bound to a Brewery- ow there is more beer
Export Hell
Export Dunkel
these two are usually on tap
Weißbier hell
Weißbier dunkel
all of the above "light" less alokohol
alcoholfree
Bockbeer
ah, yes there is Pils, as well
Prosit!

Interesting. May make the next choice in four years a tad harder - F02 760 or S63?

Just thinking the exact same thing.

I hope the previous owner specs mine up nicely.
