But the bottom half of it makes it look so happy, it's like it's getting head and being punched in the face. Happy, but frightened!

I like my version better:

Looks great apart from:
1 Headlights - need a better shape
2. Its really needs the slats on the rear window
3. Need to make in more numbers with an option for a non Fezza engine, so its affordable for mere mortals to buy, so like the z4MC, 350z etc, Lancia would make a killing.
you got it in one mate.. the slats are a must, and the headlights are too 'sad looking' if this was a mass produced car at say.. £40k (tops) it would be amazing.

Funky headlights, but a lovely looking car.

Looks very purposeful.

wish more companies would produce true neo classics like this one.

They don't meet pedestrian impact regs.

I thought I'd read somewhere that the problem was with the time taken to turn them on, rather than with impact regulations.

No clear answer, but Wikipedia indicates it's Euro pedestrian regulations. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidden_headlamps

IIRC, safety legislation now prevents pop-up headlights, more's the pity... though somebody feel free to prove me wrong...

Yeah looks better than the old one (although the pics of front makes the old one look happy lol) And the headlights do need sorting. But I want one soooo bad!
Think I have stolen alot of peoples comments lol, Just think the same myself. Don't know about the idea of adding slits on the back window though scratchchin defo looked good on the old one I guess.

fk me that is stunning. Pop in a 400bhp V8, take on the R8 = win for Lancia. It isn't like Ferrari have anything in that market space with the cheapest Fezza being about £140K now, so what would Fiat have to complain about?

I find that hard to believe. I am sure something like the pop ups on the original are hard to get through, but modern headlamps can be tiny so it wouldn't have to pop up very far these days.
