2nd that! Get up, shower, shave, breakfast(full English cooked by me!) keys. Ummm, F40, 131 or Eggenberger RS500? Think I'll take the RS for spin.

If only....

Ever since I could think, I've wnated to buy my own Aston. Not own someone else's.So thats number 1 on the list come monday morning

The I'll need a boring shopping car for the everday stuff. And yes, you do need somehting like this: its a pain to have to fill up every time you go anywhere, so a boring diesel saloon would be great.
Then I'll hit the classifides for a few projects
And maybe a 997 Turbo as another modern

Would depend on the answer to two questions . . . .

Is this millionaire some lucky person who's won the lottery or somebody who's worked for the cash? . . . . . IMHO a lottery winner may be more likely to head to a dealer for instant gratification, whereas somebody who's worked up to it, is likely to already have a decent car and would be more likely to wait until the right car at the right price turned up

Are they shopping for a car to use everyday or a toy? everyday car = new from glass and concrete showroom, Toy = whoever has the car they want smile

The only multi-millionaire I knew drove a 318, an old and tatty one, but well maintained. Spent his money on racehorses, and loved that. he didn't get cars at all.

Ah you have all failed! I have the correct answer. Every time I take the train from North to South Wales you pass (just after Chirk) a set of 5 lock up units, all to let, all capable of holding say 6 cars. This is where you go when your numbers come up! No point in going shopping if you have only room to park one or two cars!

Then I would be visiting a mixture of the classifieds for the classics and the show room for the Astons, Ferraris and Zondas!

Neither, it'd be the travel agent.

Out to the Caribbean to run a small fishing business with a lot of my own boats and st. Couldn't ask for a lazier life imo.

Nothing worse than buying a brand new car & then being told 'keep it under X amount of revs & easy on the brakes for the 1000 miles'. FFS. furious

I'd rather pay considerably less for a car that has already been run in & had about 2000 miles on the clock. (Which of course is a double-edged sword, shall I buy the car new & run it in properly, or shall I take a gamble that the previous owner actually ran it in properly).

In fact, if money was no object I'd buy the cars brand new & employ a very trustworthy & very good driver to run them in properly for me.

Both, but definitely showroom first.

Bit of both I expect. Probably governed by the quickest way I could lay my hands on a GT3RS.

Funny you should say that.

We (Wife and kids) had a similar conversation about what Garlick posted.
I said I would ask Justin Banks to find me a Miura.
Wife wants a Bentley convertable, age not important.
Son wants a new M5.
Daughter said if I get a Miura they she wants one as well!

I don't know if there is any new car that I'd 'really' want.

Garlick - not sure about an Ital but I may be intersted in a Marina TC

Short answer is that I'd go to my local showroom for a comfortable, nippy and discreet everyday bus and auction / specialist / classifieds for anything older than a year or two

One trip to the showroom to buy a new AM V8

Several trips to auctions for 60's & 70's sports racers (user name is a clue to what I would like!), Lotus Cortina racer, March F2 & F3

Several trips to classifieds for Mini Cooper S, Lotus Elan, Ginetta G15 etc etc

So all three options I guess!

I will tell you where I would go from there.

Folow the F1 around the world, buy a gaff in Monaco, buy a boat, work hard to make one million into two (spend the second), Ski (obviously in the winter), spend summer (or is it winter) with my relatives in OZ, spend the summer in the UK and doing various PH's organised VMax events obviously with the fastest car, every track day going, Isle of Man TT, Moto GP, god im nackered even thinking about it! god job im not a millionaire and have a normal 9-5 job.
