Am I the only one cringing here at the thought of screwing any private plate on a car, ever?
I always like someone coming into a private plates thread, just to give that opinion.

I mean, really? Really?

I mean, I may venture onto the steak thread to tell them that I don't eat meat.

Because I too am a total weapon.

I’ve had this plate on 7 cars and 1 bike now, it owes me way more than it’s worth, means nothing but can’t part with it.

Here you go, no need to do any screwing.

Can anyone explain briefly, with dvla auctions, it is literally an auction? Ie you bid and bid etc or what? Also what’s the cheapest a 2x2 plate realistically sells for. Also, (sorry) if not buying form dvla what firms have most of you used?

I know I should be ashamed of myself, however I must apologise for not being fully up on all BMW special addition chav looking cars. Sorry it might be a very expensive BMW but it looks a little bit chavvi to me. Not my thing sorry and does little to stir the blood.
I think the point Beemer was making was more that you got the series wrong beyond the edition.

Well a 4 series is what used to be called a 2 door 3 series. I’m ok with that.

In fairness, to any non-BMW enthusiast, they do rather look the same. I think there’s a slight disconnect on PH sometimes when people assume motoring enthusiast = BMW enthusiast. I certainly couldn’t tell you what sort of BMW it was.

I agree, here's one of mine, bought just because I like it......

Nice car, far from sure about the spoiler and wheels I’m afraid, each to their own I suppose.
The spoiler and wheels came like that from the factory.
Did they ? I thought the chap had gone a bit Barryboy on the poor car, what exactly is it then M3 ? special edition,

Yeah, but this isn’t the BMW sub forum, where everyone lives and breathes all the different model designation codes, trim types and special editions.

In the same way I would expect an M5/6 owner to know every special edition Fords, Subarus or Astons from a rear photo,

You sign up for the auction and last bidder standing gets the plate. You can check out the plates coming up at the next auction https://www.dvlaauction.co.uk/ 6 Day online auction. You can go in person when the virus is gone. Check out what 2x2 or anything else sold for here as a comparison for what you want. https://dvlaregistrations.dvla.gov.uk/search/previ... Price depends on how popular the letters/numbers are.

97 YC That looks unpopular £2700 + bits Sold in May 2015. smile
