Aesthetically a major improvement on the last car but the big alloys and blacked out windows look a bit Halfords.

i think this looks like a Legacy on steriods, which is not a bad thing as the Legacy is a great car and overlooked

I've got two and they are just fantastic

off to update my garage for the Lancia to see if i can with this car

and then a letter to Santa for the new Stratos

and then a lottery ticket for £112m?

It was all going so well, new scoob, better looking, better to drive, better to sit in, then i got to the price. HOW MUCH????? 33k for a scoob, i think not biggrin my 33k's going on a s/h 320d and a Caterham, best of both worlds!

Not to sure on your statistical analysis, but yes lots of cars look like they should be parked up at the all night McDonalds impressing 14 year old girls.

It's a very good car but tacky additions detract from the overall package, IMO.

watch out with the 320d, my company runs a fleet of 40 57 plate and onwards 320d's and we have had nothing but agro each and every week with at least 5 cars a week in the garage, also the 30 a4 tdis we've got are a bit better but still in the garage alot costing us time and people off the road

i took the car allowance a bought a Legacy Sports Tourer Diesel, and guess what, nothing ever gone wrong and i could go to work when we had that little snow

Each to their own I guess. Personally I like the additions.

hmmm i do like this but honestly give me a bug sti over this anyday, luckily for me I already have a bug so i think il just keep that and not spend 30k on a new scooby haha biggrin ............oh just to say what everybody else has said but it really does need a HUGE spoiler.

It would probably look better as a 2 door as the originals. It does need some sort of rear wing, back definetly looks lacking in something. Unusual for a US Spec car to look better than a Euro Spec car!

Also does anyone know what colour the winning STI will be? This car is actually really quite exciting for me!!
Whatever colour you choose biggrin
According to Autocar, you can't have it in blue with gold wheels anymore, any truth to that?

I don't think it's a bad looking car, but it needs a big spoiler, and it would look a lot better in the classic gold / blue combo. Even a smaller spoiler like on the Impreza GX sports or Type D models would look better. The boot line looks a bit flat without a wing on it.

It's not a terrible looking car and I'm sure it's a great drive, but I'm not sure I could take someone seriously if their geniunely believed this car is an improvement over say, this...

Are there people on this thread who would not genuinely not consider buying this car purely becuase it doesn't have a spoiler? If so FFS!!

Here's an idea:
Buy the car
Go on t'internet
Buy a spoiler
Get it delivered and fitted
Stop moaning

Surely you can buy one and stick it on?

eh???

Umm, so ignoring the fact that you might not be able to get a spoiler that matches the car, you also seem to be ignoring the fact that you'll also have to have it painted and then drill holes in a brand new car.

Sorry, but I suspect most people just aren't going to be willing to take an electric drill to a £30k new car. Not in the UK anyway.

Also, if you look at the comparison on the previous page, you'll see that a spoiler of the size of the one on the earlier car on the new car's stubbier boot would render it impossible to open the bootlid.
