Are there people on this thread who would not genuinely not consider buying this car purely becuase it doesn't have a spoiler? If so FFS!!

Here's an idea:
Buy the car
Go on t'internet
Buy a spoiler
Get it delivered and fitted
Stop moaning
+1

Surely you can buy one and stick it on?
Also, if you look at the comparison on the previous page, you'll see that a spoiler of the size of the one on the earlier car on the new car's stubbier boot would render it impossible to open the bootlid.
You mean that a spoiler off a US or JDM model will not fit a UK model???

Looks like a Kia.

Come on Subaru you can do better, I mean I know its a based on a standard road car but could look alot nicer.

An STi should NEVER look so bland.

Not the point.

You would not buy a Ferrari that looked like a Punto would you.

The way a car looks is as important to most people as the way it goes, and the aggressive looks were always part of the STi package.

Front looks okay. Did it really need that back end though?

Definately needs a rear wing! WTF did Subaru not include it in the options?

At £33k it's no longer the performance bargain the classics were.

Agree it needs a Factory fitted spoiler to liven up the rear...also, the badges, they look odd, as if they are not quite rightly placed. Dunno, small point, you could remove them. Like it otherwise!

It says 296bhp.....I wonder how many will stay that way for more than say, a week...

Very quick A 2 B with nice front styling - not sure on the back though!

Bottom line is that £33k is an awful lot of money..............overpriced!!

Spolier or no spoiler, its still a munter. However it drives.

Oh hang on a minute, no change there then since 2001 and the first bug eyed monster.

And hasn't the world moved on from these chav-tastic specials?

Looks amazing with that rear wing on. Why the hell was it removed for the Type UK? Do they think we are all a bunch of greying, slipper wearing, extra-milky tea drinkers? We want head turning looks and excitement, not understatement and beige styling - if I wanted a quick Q car I'd get an AMG, which suit the understated looks. Imprezas are supposed to be a bit in your face and brash. Maybe they removed the wing because they think they are still selling to the same old crowd who made the Impreza a success in the UK in the first place, who are now older? After some of the decisions they have made in the last few years, it wouldn't surprise me!

Sorry but couldn't pay £33k for a car that ugly, why not get a GTI if your spending this amount- it's got a bit of class. All IMO of course.

Around about the same price as a B8 Audi S4 from memory. I thought the whole point in Evobarus were to undercut the costs of other performance saloons and still deliver the same performance?

i think you are missing the point of why people would want to buy an impreza sti, usually they dont want to spend good money on a blandmobile as they prefer more outlandish looks and are generally more interested in performance than image anyway.
