Have to say I had some on my mk1.5 Focus and they weren't that bad. By no means awesome, but what do you expect they're a cheap tyre.

They were measurably better than the Yoko S306's I put on after them, which were about a fiver cheaper if I remember right.

I have them on my XJ8 and they seem fine. Maybe because it's a big heavy car, or maybe because I'm hardly going to be driving it like I did my Elise.

The worst tyres I ever had were the runflats on my Mini Cooper S. Terrifying in the wet.

Had them on my old XJR and binned them for some Avon ZZ3s.

Didn't like them at all. A friend told me that he had similar problems because the "sidewalls were too soft"? Not quite sure what that means but they were bloody useless.

3 MOT's and 35k miles on my set of P6000's so far and still going strong! They are made of the hardest, low wearing rubber known to man! They are certainly not the best tyre for grip and feel but for economy i cant argue. Awful in the snow today though.
Um, how old are these? I'm not aware of any Pirelli tyre that could be described as 'hard wearing' when new...
Brand new 35k miles ago.smile
Hmmmm... not sure they still made P6000s anywhere as recently as 3-4 years ago - a look at the date code on these jobbies would be interesting...
They're still listed as a Pirelli product in their catalogue and are widely available, so I guess they are still being made.

Mixed views on here, but P6000s (J-spec, I think) have been ok on my Jag.

Lasted well, grip fine in the dry and controllable in the wet. Pretty quiet too.

I've just looked around to buy something different, but Kwik-Fit are selling these for £128 right now (£140 all-in) so I've bought another pair. Anything else half-decent was going to cost at least £100 more.

What? They have been around for donkeys years - they were OE on the Puma.

Seen a lot of people complained, some pics shown with ripped side, and some said they are getting poor handling in wet.

meanwhile some said they are quite good, is it just because what car are they are on? or the material is that poor?

i am ok with them this moment. just wonder how come they got so much problems in the premium brands.
In my view they are very bad in the wet,hard wearing yes,low grip in the wet.

They are bettered by many cheaper tyres from the likes of Kumho ,Falken,Hankook and many others.(for wet weather grip)

Um, that's what I'm saying. TBH I wasn't aware it's still listed in the current portfolio.

Had them on my alfa when I first got it.

Rubbish when they're more worn.

Tramlining was appalling.

Wet grip not great.

See them on Jags quite a lot, so I suppose it depends on the chassis to some extent.

No they still have them. I had the tyres changed on my Puma recently.
The guy asked me "Do you want me to fit P6000's?" We both had a jolly good laugh about it.

Well every tyre place can always do a good deal on them so they're either still making them, or they made millions 10 years ago which are still lying around!!
hehe

They might not be part of their current range, but the P6000 was OE on many cars and part of OE agreements is to keep supply available for X number of years.

Roadholding = rubbish
Longievity = Pretty damn good.

Just found out recently the P6000s on my rear of my puma are the originals, so 10 years old!
Lets just say its quite easy to get the tail out in the wet.

Good tyres on the front, crap ones on the back = almost RWD fun in a FWD car.
Since I posted this I've ended up losing the back end of my car twice. It is no longer funny and I will be replacing them the second my paycheck comes in.

Good move. The bloody things nearly killed me on more than one occasion.
