RE: Slot Car F1 Circuit Shows Bernie How It's Done
Discussion
Hello Members, James here, creator of White Lake F1 Ring.
The video is awful as its a camera taped to a slot car, weighs a ton, is too tall for the circuit and is low rez. I had no idea this thing would take off as it did so apologies for the terrible video quality.
Here's a link to another video with cars on track and better image quality. It'll also answer some of the car crashing questions as you can see Marshalls in the Marshall holes.

Track is an AC2Car System. Two cars share a slot and can pass one another via a lane changer at the end of the pit straight for the entire lap. Lane change switch is on the controller. You can also drive through the pitlane with another switch and pit stop as well.
Track has 3 sector timing just like real F1.
I've designed a bunch of other routed tracks for people in the States here.
My latest is providing paper templates that people can use to route themselves.
Lots of pics at my blog too: http://wlf1ring.blogspot.com
Feel free to contact me at jmghf1@gmail.com if you have any other questions.
Thanks very much for the nice comments!

Hi James, pleased you came on to say hello. Your track is fantastic, must be the best slot car track I've seen but please don't come and disappear again, I am sure there will be loads of interest in it if you post your comments here. As our Murray Walker would say, F A N T A S T I C !!!The video is awful as its a camera taped to a slot car, weighs a ton, is too tall for the circuit and is low rez. I had no idea this thing would take off as it did so apologies for the terrible video quality.

Incredible – but it must be a nightmare when your car goes off, you'd lose at least a lap walking over and putting it back in the slot.
That was to be my reply.Must need some marshals for that job.
ETA - and so it does. Should have read before posting.
Great toy. When I claim my 113mill I'll get one of these for the games room.

2 stroke nitro remote control cars are much more cool. Christ i mean check this out ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYqFfoGdDq4
I will conceed it is a might impressive slot car track, but it fails for me on the fact that it is a generally specfic circuit. Attention to detail is staggering.

Hi James. You should re-film it at full speed with one of those keyring cams from eBay (>$20!)The video is awful as its a camera taped to a slot car, weighs a ton, is too tall for the circuit and is low rez. Ey Up Guys,
for anyone interested in slotcars, there are loads of clubs, at various levels of competition, in the UK.
Just go to " slotforum.com "
My club, Gainsborough, has members from 11 to 60+ of age, a good bunch.
Brilliant fun, and we talk about real cars, rallying, and F1, as well !!.
