you have lost me...I liked the R32 and R33, but feel nothing for the R34
Even though they're largely similar under the skin?don't ask why, I just don't feel anything for the newer ones
yes they are fantastic, yes they are VERY special and I appreciate that...they just have no appeal to me

No issues with opinion, but the R32/33/34 share an awful lot and I would think that if you liked one of the three you'd probably like them all (looks aside).
I have no idea...reallyI love the R32 and R33 yet feel nothing for the newer ones, one of lifes mysteries I guess

I live in Frankfurt and have to say that a GTR is a rare site. Most of the time its 911's driven by women or bankers. They know nothing about cars but have simply purchased the car because its a Porsche. Those that buy a GTR, well lets face it, they are more likely to be genuine petrol heads then some loser with a bit of cash spending out on a 911. No offence intended of course, small cocks always need a car (with the right badge) to boost their ego.

I think my boss needs to lend me his GTR, then buy the facelift and let me borrow that also.
Purely so I can come to my own judgement on the car obviously, this is not a selish attempt to blag a GTR for a day or 2 just to go and pimp about in

Dude yoru chattin st, to be honest, school kids would even like our Porsche 964. Im sure when you was in school you loved Porsches ( I did ). Although I am not as fond of them no more as I used to, far too common now.

Sorry I'll rephrase that then....
I grew out of boring jap stuff years ago. Performance figures on a piece of paper mean little too me, if the car is a behemoth with looks that appear to be aimed at school kids.
Just my opinion. I only viewed the thread hoping to see a prettier, re-designed car.
Heyho, nevermind.

This has also put me of certain models of Porsche's ie. Boxter, 911. Those that buy it just for the badge. Still love the GT2 and 3, which are most likely to be bought by decent people iei petrol heads.

Loser because he / she is more successful than you in their chosen career and can afford it?What a strangely European definition of "loser". It's ok though, we all know money doesn't buy happiness - just better toys.

I didnt think it felt that big when it was on the move, hid its size well.I grew out of boring jap stuff years ago. Performance figures on a piece of paper mean little too me, if the car is a behemoth with looks that appear to be aimed at school kids.

How come you thought it seemed too big? I dont know how you can think it is boring to drive I thought it handled very well and the performance certainly felt impressive, felt faster than what the on paper times suggested.

Is it only me that feels absolutely nothing for this car?
Nope. Me too. I grew out of soulless jap stuff years ago. I can respect some of it for it's abilities but, have no interest in any of it. I prefer me doing the driving, not the car. Fans see all these new gizmos it has as amazing. I just think, weight.
Boring!!!! zzzzz.
I'm sure it is a fantastic car though

It's only soulless if you think it has no soul. Whether you like it or not, cars don;t actually have souls. They are machines. This whole notion of Japanese cars being soulless is really, dull, and says more about the person than the car.
Isn't that 'car soul' talking just about legitimation for when parts fell of or the car won't start in the morning?Yeah, then all this jap metall has no soul
