I suspect, with your charms, he'll be whatever you wish him to be.

He does sound like he'll expect to be held afterwards, so take a book.

OMGG I hate the drivers of RR's/ RR Sports. They think they own the road and drive with akin attitude and mostly get away with it,.......... until they meet-up with me.

The Blenheim is out of date and looks funny from some angles
Give me the angles from which it doesn't look funny.

The Fighter is pasable if hackneyed from the side front but what the blazes is going on with the rear? Does it come with an optional tail gunner?

Sorry, if not seeing the point of Bristols is wrong I don't wanna be right. wink
i am inclined to agree. Despite being largely disillusioned with modern car design, I just can't see Bristol as being any kind of antithesis to it. I think its wider than that though, I see a lot of hugely objects referred to with terms such as "classical british gentleman's style" or suchlike and yet they look like a dogs dinner. I think a lot of people profess to love the idea of a Bristol as a rejection of modern values and ostentatious "new money" showiness, but in reality given the several hundred thousand pounds it takes to afford one, would go and buy something else instead. I don't think there are as many true Bristol fans on here as discussions on them oftne suggest.

Oops, don't know what happend there but gist is Overfinch never did brake or driveshaft upgrades on Classic Range Rovers, they said they weren't needed. In fairness I loved my 570 but it was spoiled by all the problems and attitude of the company, and I have exactly the same experiences with Bristol Cars.
God I would I have thought that would have been standard. I have even beefed up the suspension on my 90 XS (which has slightly more power than standard!) using stronger drive shafts and diffs.

I don't think anything was standard. They had a list of products and you just chose what you wanted. The vast majority just went for the engine and some cosmetics. Most don't have the upgrades to the running gear which is why you read so many tales of bits getting munched up regularly.

I reckon 1% or less of RR are Overfinched?
Bristols -no other cars are as beguiling , enigimatic, exclusive, esoteric, idiosyncratic, and mysterious - qualities that should be cherished!

This is a shame. They had quite a history of mad cars along the way.

Something is nagging me that the guy who owns Overfinch also owns Bristol (Toby Silverton). I hope this issue is specific to a trading situation at Overfinch and not that Mr Silverton has found himself on his uppers as this could have other implications if so.
Arthur Silverton owned Overfinch at one point but sold out in the 90s I think, certainly before his son Toby Silverton bought into Bristol Cars

Someone's bought it from the administrators before Christmas.

No idea who. Could Kahn or someone already involved in Overfinch.

That's probably the best outcome.

Just came across this gass...belatedly. Was planning to drive over to find out re some retro mods for classics, will check to see if they're still there...

Agree with previous posters that Overfinch had a very good reputation tuning the classic and the p38 - loved the 630r, however gone very 80s Zender body kit mad over the last few years.

Always felt the Lichfield/TVR Power conversions of the late 80s + early 90s were more true to the original spirit of the Rover V8 powered cars. TVR were already discretely supplying uprated engines to armoured vehicles and the 5.0lt came out in the Rangey before the Griffs. That's pretty cool! (in an anorak kind of way)...

Still hope Overfinch get their soul back though...

They're not in the slightest bit interested in the older stuff.
