The Brits have a funny idea about cars, their shapes and what is or is not attractive. maybe for the Uk roads this is not a great car, but in the US it is a serious cruiser and Lexus make the best cars re build quality bar none...just look at th JD Powers Awards.
This may not be a PH car but I would take one over a TVR any days of the week in any country of the world. The SC is beautifully asembled, will work forever, does what its designers intended it to do, will start and stop without any problems and who when sitting in a car looks at the outside??
67,000 buyers cannot all be blind. It is a huge seller in California, Florida and NY....and Americans spend more on cars than the Brits when it comes to luxury!!

Or just wait a few more weeks for a few thousand more public sector workers to join the end of the unemployment queue, the fuel costs to bite and people start realising how many things they buy have VAT on them and see stylish cars that like burning fuel drop even more in value?

Looked at one of these earlier in the year for the boss, after getting pissed off with looking at rusty clk's.But there was no room in the back even for kids and if she was going to have 2+1 we would rather have had an XK8(ended up with a sensible CLK!).
As well as Partridge connections I seem to remember Angus Deyton(sp?) being pictured in an SC during his charlie and rental scandal a few years ago,no such thing as bad publicity?

Why? Its only got one thing going for it....The engine.
Now we all like big engines here, but its only satisfying if its attached to something that has at least one of the following attributes: Look good, look inoffensive or can handle.
Just imagine pulling up at the lights in the SC430 and looking at your refelction in the shop window.
Anyone here want to be seen in a metalic hearing aid beige blob-o'barge as it gently rocks on its waterbed spec suspension?

SL 500, XJC V12 ,or a bad Stag? Drop 2 cyls & hop into a choped BMW or Audi, any of these are more credible!
For me 5K = Audi S8 as a value for money V8. My last D2 S8 I had did 180K, its replacement now has 166K on. I swapped depreciation for petrol...& a whole lot more!

As for the car, a V8 they may have but i just cant get past the ugliness and all that wood trim!! Still, they may well be very good for what they are designed for; wafting on the boulevards of U.S coastal towns

That is just a wobbly fat turd with interior (apart froom the fake wood and toys) that looks like it came from a old toyota carina

I'm trying to think of another description for a car colour and all I can think of is 90 day white and dog knob red used to describe the Porsche colour Guards Red.
I don't think it's political correctness, it's more a case of people repeating a term that they don't know the definition of.
