Serious question Zod, do you preferthe E90 dash,? I prefer the E46 myself.

always loved the dash on the CLK, the whole interior looked bespoke

Impressive given its really just an E-Class interior with a few adjustments!

Don't have time for all the thread but reminded me of the great dash on the Lancia Trevi I accidently owned.

I love TVR dashes (what are the odds), but I prefer the Sagaris way of doing it. Classy, subtle, stylish and no frippery.

For pure design the E46 is difficult to beat - saloon though. I even dislike the font change for the dial numbers in the coupe, and the silver rings round the dials in the touring!

Blue Alpina dashes are a little cut above.

Ergonomically I think they are also right up there, although the sat nav could do with touch screen and being higher up in the dash, which they achieved rather inelegantly in the E90.

Whereas all I can think of when I see that photo is German taxis.

I simply want an h-gate! If the Noble M12 GTO 3-R had one I think I would implode with lust!

Love the MK2 Golf dash.

Simple. easy to use, i prefer mine with dials in the stereo slot, and the stereo relocated to the centre console.

Perfect. Everything falls to hand so easily.
I had four of these, a 330Ci, a manual M3, an SMG M3 and a CSL. It looked great at the time. It looks dated now.

(those paddles look out of place too)
I thought we were looking at nice dashboards, what's dated got to do with anything ? most of the dashes on this thread are dated.
OK! I like it!
I agree that the E46 is a good place to be but ergonomically it has one flaw that drives me mad and that is that the window switches are on the centre console. I think my E36 was the same and my MX5. It seems so unnatural to me. The windows are on the doors so if I want to operate them, that's where I want to aim my hand. What makes it worse is that we also have an E39 and in that the switches are on the door. You can guarantee that whichever car I'm in, I'll always get it wrong first time. I do agree that this era was a peak for BMW dashes though. They seem to have gone backwards since then.

One too many air vents. It plays havoc with my OCD!
