I headed back, spoke to someone in Barclays, aparantly its happened a couple of times on that road.

The cut in the tyre could have been done by a pot hole, its really close to rim on the tyre wall, makes it more likely so.

Just one of those things

OP I feel for you especially as one of my cars was the victim of an attempted theft 2 weeks ago in which they crowbarred the door open leaving a 5 inch gap at the top of the door frame!

Sorry to hear of such a senseless act, I can imagine your dismay when you got out of the car in the light of the petrol station to see the damage. Unfortunately these low lifes are full of hate and just strike out, I am sure its just an unfortunate random act against a lovely car. I remember many years ago I had a Mazda RX7 parked in an underground carpark came back to find it ok, however the 911 next to me had 4 slashed tyres and keyed all over...you would think a nice car would engender some respect, but no, not from such vermin.
