Good evening.

Does anyone know how the tax is worked out if a company provides a car and pays for the fuel? I can find plenty of info about the benefit in kind for the car itself, but even the Inland Revenue site is non-committal about the fuel benefit.

There is a set rate for private fuel allowance (can't remember the figure off the top of my head ~£17,000) and the CO2 level of the car determines the BIK rate you pay depending on your tax rate.

I pay ~£35 a month for private fuel on my planet saving 1.6TDI A3 (105g/km)

ETA: this explains it a bit better http://www.comcar.co.uk/newcar/companycar/poolresu...

Thanks for that - this figure ties up pretty well with what I've seen.
