Hi Guys,

Anyone used them?

Trying to find the best place to sort my D3 out after most panels were keyed.

http://www.bodytechnics.co.uk/

They seem to be the approved place for all the key manufacturers

Any views?

Cant comment from experience but a main Porsche bodyshop/repairer. Used to work around the estate and always loads of supercars/expensive marques in the compound.

In the area, these guys are worth talking to too: www.specialisedpaintwork.com/

Not used them for work but spoken to them a few times and they have always been very helpful and they come well recommended.

I had some insurance work done by them on my Ferrari. It wasn't my choice but the insurance company insisted on using them. The car had to go back three times for corrective work. Addtionally, I wasn't impressed with the attitude of the owner when trying to deal with them (my complaint was escalated to him, I didn't ask to deal with him). The car still wasn't right when they returned it for the last time but it was a small matter so I had it dealt with elsewhere. Overall the whole matter left a very bad taste in my mouth and I wouldn't use them again.

....if it's the company based in Langley, Slough, I have used them a couple of times and they are good. They do quite a lot of exotic cars. Speak to Bob.

I had a quote from them once after asking Maranello to look at a dent on my maser (seems they were the approved repairers). When the quote arrived I actually had to call them up to ask them if they could justify the price to me; it was 5 times the price of my local body shop who (of course) did a fabulous job for me. Apparently Bodytechnics thought it would take 8 hours labour to remove the front bumper.

YMMV, this was more than 3 years ago.

Norwich Union used them for a repair on my old 996 Turbo - was very pleased with what they did and couldn't see what had been damaged in the first place.

Quality of work is first class, I have never seen better. They are one of two Approved Ferrari/Maserati repairers in the UK.

Cost is on another planet, if you are paying with your own money go elsewhere, if insurance is paying its up to you.

Not the quickest, and not the best communications in the world either.

I've used Specialised Paintwork twice now and have been very happy with the work done. They come highly recommended by the Lotus community too smile

Advanced auto technik did the front bumper on the 911 and really did a cracking job. I know that they do all of RSj's porsches too.
