Petrol prices please post price

For your average family car (1.8 litre Mondeo?), what is the cost per mile in terms of petrol if we're paying about £1.25/litre?
Trying to work out how much money I'm losing every time I go to do my charity work and whether I should just send them the money instead.

122.9 yesterday in west yorkshire but 123.9 today due to today's fuel duty rise
This is the sort of thing I've never understood. If I'm correct the increase was 0.76 pence a litre, so 3/4 of a pence, so your fuel should of increased to 123.65? So where does the other 1/4 of a pence go? Edited by Larry Dickman on Saturday 1st January 14:54
