Apart from in a Mazda Bongo, awd doesn't interest me in the slightest.

Anyone who needs more grip than that which the modern car offers can't drive. wink

if said car is FWD then yes.

I will never own another FWD car if I can help it.
Why the blinkers? FWD has it's place, and there are some excellent handling FWD cars about.

Personally, I view each car on it's merits - there are some st RWD cars about.
whilst I agree there are some great FWD cars about (DC2 Intergra for example), they are still hamstrung by being FWD.

first time you try to pull out of a tee-junction in less than optimum conditions, you will get the point.
Oh, a bit like the Griff then. hehe
to a point, yes, although a lot less fun....

That said, I know a man that has a 4WD Griff.....

For ordinary mundane transport, yes, 4wd is nice to have. No more grip than 2wd, but excellent traction and stability under acceleration in all conditions. For sports cars, no, rwd is what I want.

Absolutely not, AWD would ruin the handling of my wky FWD shopping car and make it a hell of a lot slower. Then again, it has so little torque that wheelspin is rarely a problem, and I have an LSD for when it is. biggrin
