what shall I buy for 3 week French tour this summer

Looking for inspiration here really. I am going on a driving holiday around France this summer and want to swap my MkV Golf R32 for a convertible with a bit of character. Have considered everything from an XK8 cab to a Chimaera but just can't decide what would best fit the bill. Would like to to have a bit of poke, and a decent boot for bringing a few cases of wine back!
Want to spend up to £15k. Perhaps £20k if it was a really exciting proposition.
Ideally would like to be able to use it as my everyday car back in the UK for 9 months after I get back.
any thoughts much appreciated.
