Morning!

I would just like a bit of clarity of something..

I've transfered a reg onto my car. I have the new V5 but the revised tax disc seems to be delayed/lost in the post. The reg supplier is telling me that Im ok to put the reg on the car now even with the incorrect tax disc.

Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

Cheers,
Adrian

Can anyone help?

I spoke to DVLA and the woman thought it might be an issue having plates that dont match the tax disc but I suppose I could carry the V5 with me incase I get stopped for something.

Tricky one really. You have a V5 showing a different registration to what is actually on the car, so you should really put the new plates on, but then your tax disc will be wrong.

Personally, I'd stick the plates on.

If you've been sensible and photocopied the original V5, simply slap the plates on and if questioned, simply show the BIB the old and new V5's
