I went to a "Club 89" track day at castle coombe, in er, 1989!, and this fella turned up in a bubblegum pink fiesta mk2, with a huge wing on the back, (colour a bit like that Enzo)complete with a pink Nomex suit!! It was a road car though, full trim, tough, no cage etc and he drove it there whereas most of us were trailering our cars.

At the drivers briefing, everyone was taking the piss out of him big time, he never said a word, or got riled, then first session, he just fked off and left us all for dead. It wasn't even "that" quick a car, apparently about 130hp, but he was absolutely flipping awesome in it! He went round the outside of me in a prepped 205GTI at the old folly corner, (before the chicane) that was truly terifying online at about 95, and he must have been doing near 110 and came out on the grass, 4ft from the tyre wall. He took Dave Pinkney out in it later, who got out beaming!

Weirdly, no one took the piss anymore!! I remember thinking we should have known, to get away driving a car that colour, you'd need to be a pretty handy wheelman! laugh

I love things like that.

And in answer to the question about men driving Ford Streetkas. I do know a man who drives one, but then i do have suspicions about him, i think it was his boyfriend that tipped me off as to why he might drive a Streeka.

My cousins beetle. She bought it in silver after she beat terminal cancer. My dad sells paint products to body shops so one of his customers mixed the paint to her taste. She bought the wheels from USA.

She calls it Daisy. I dont think they come much more girly!!

And how it was originally

My Brother In Law's girlfriend has just got one of these, and yes it has the pink interior, this car the Elle edition could only have been conceived for girls.

Not the only one MBU irked

Odd this thread reappears 10min after I was talking to a friend of mine who knows a straight man who owns a StreetKa. I always thought that was a very feminine car.
