RE: Ferrari FF Shock: It's A Four-Wheel-Drive Hatch
Discussion
I personally think it looks fantastic. This was always going to create a bit of a stir, and I'm fairly surprised by the number on here who actually have good words to say about it. Ferrari's design direction is impressing me at the moment, I've got to say. The California looks great, and the 458 doesn't do a bad job of looking pretty either (though the lines didn't immediately wow me).

It's unbalanced, it's nasty. If they can't produce a 4-seater that confirms to modern-day requirements/regulations they should just drop the 4-seater line.
And that's all I have to say.
Unbalanced? Eh? 53 rear 47 front is pretty much as good as it gets. Are you from mumsnet? And that's all I have to say.

Love it! I know their recent run of 360, 430, 458, et al are suppost to be great to drive but I for one have been bored stless by the amount of very similar looking silouettes of two seater mid engined super cars that have hit the market in recent years, ( 360, 430, 458, Evora, Farboud, new Macca, etc..etc..). I understand that for ultimate performance this offers the best layout but if it's got reg plates on it then I for one would sacrife that pinacle of performance for a bit of character!
( yes I appreciate some people want to drive to and from trackdays therefore 458s and the like make sense ).

It's not 'comfortable' and therefore 'predictable' looking. For that reason it's great and should end up a classic - great call.
It generates as many questions as answers over the styling and I can't wait to see one parked in the street where I suspect it will look stunning.
Not comparable, but in the same vein the Panamera looks hideous in photos but has amazing road prescence and I can't help staring at them in the street near work because I can't decide whether I like or hate them.
Decisions...decisions...

"I love this car. Despite being in the fortunate position of seeing many new cars launched, this is the one I have liked instantly."
I don't think I've ever read anything too much different about most Ferrari's (barring the CA) from any journalist. In fact I'll go one further, I would bet that not one journalist will say a negative thing about this FF at all. I think the main question journalists need to be asking (beyond stating there love of most Ferrari's) is have they become too electronic, too numb to the touch, too big and too heavy for most roads? j
