I nearly bought A couple of cars online at the weekend without viewing them just looked nice or at least the model did.
Note bottle of port had been consumed... So who has actually bought something without a cool head or drunk and then it's like wife I had a few bottles of wine last night and I bought another car..

Not at that scale but I did have a habit of buying gig tickets online and not realising until they arrive at my doorstep a week before the gig! Always a nice surprise...

I was the under bidder by £35 on a Mini Moke (admittedly a very nice one)a few years ago. Fancy ending an auction just after the pubs kick out on a Friday hehe

I was winning an auction for a jag xjr a few years ago right up to 10s before the end. Hadn't viewed but it did look a bargain!
It's always fun to put in a low bid on expensive cars with no reserve safe in the knowledge that the cars worth 10x your bid.
It's just nice to see the green tick!

I had a very expensive love/hate relationship with a 15 year old 200,000+ miles Land Rover Discovery as a result of one of these bottle-of-red-wine-in-one-hand-mouse-in-the-other eBay fuelled nights.

Not my finest purchase, really ... but now I can look back with reasonably fond memories

I bought an Alfa GTV as a 2nd car for the mrs. last weekend on ebay. Regretted it the moment I pressed the button.

On first impressions it seems in working order....

Thursday's appointment with the specialist is giving me sleepless nights though!

I'm committed to it now, so the problem is how to secretly get all the work that will invariably need doing. We have joint finances, you see.

I told her I'd find her a fun, reliable car biggrin

I'm so dead...

Well, I'm going to try and spread the work out over a few months and just make lots of small cash withdrawals every day to cover it biggrin

Even though it's her car, she just wouldn't understand. Sigh.

I'm addicted to Gumtree which is great for cars - it's amazing what comes up on there.

You have to be quick, though, as the good stuff gets snapped up quickly.

In the last few months I have bought a Range Rover Classic Soft Dash, a Jaguar Sovereign 4.0 lwb, a Jaguar XJ Sport and a Mk2 Golf GTI 16v.

And 3 sets of alloys and, with MDT, an engine hoist.
