Parking an LWB Transit in Central London?
Discussion
Hi all, I'll be off to London in July for the weekend, more than likely will be going in a Transit and staying near Kings Cross St. Pancras.
I've been looking around at parking but most seem to be underground affairs with a 2m heigh restriction, the only one that wasn't underground looks erm, dodgy, and I'm not convinced that the van will still be there when I come back.
Anyone got any ideas?
(excluding to take the train or fly please, I'm quite happy driving to London, I've just never tried to park the big beasty there before!)

theres street parking down the side of the station, if you patient/lucky, you should get parked there.
when working in vans in london thats where we parked for the prem inn

That's exactly where I'm staying and exactly what I wanted to hear!
I noticed there is a good stretch of single yellow down the Premier Inn street (have Streetviewed it!), I won't get there until late Friday and will leave by Sunday afternoon, does that mean I can dump the van on it or do they apply every day?

London is about the only place in Britain where the public transport system nearly works, and parking charges are so high its probably going to be cheaper too.
Problem is that I have 8 people to bring down from Sunderland complete with luggage, we'd much prefer to stay in the van until we get there, one of the party point blank refuses to get on public transport in London so it's more or less out of the question anyway!Blue Oval84 said:

Will give them a call then, wherever possible my battle bus certainly does require pre-booking, to someone that drives a Z4 it is a uniquely different experience to drive the Tranny through London

Eject.I will admit however, that in London I think it's sometimes wise to make the odd exception, I got on the Tube the last time I was there and it didn't kill me
