The pennant on the Viking ship on the Rover badge always points to the right except on the stylised badges on the rear of the roof on the P5 Coupe which points to the left.

Rivalry between Triumph and Rover saw the Stag fitted with a specially developed 3.0-litre V8 rather than used the Buick-derived Rover V8. Rather than make the cylinder head out fo aluminium, as specified, workers at the Canley plant used wadded up copies of The Daily Mirror, mixed with water and metal swarf.
That would be funny if it werent true.
I want to say "Bullst" - say it is. Please...

There are 18 metres of electical cables in my Clio.

Oops, weird, not wired facts, I see... I'm led to believe a Fiat Panda can blow hot air from the vents quicker than it can do 0-60 mph - 16s vs 17s.

The wheelnuts on my Alfa 1750 are handed - RH thread on the right side and LH thread on the left.
On mine only one the nearside rear is different to the rest, and one bolt there is then different to the others on the hub. Which I found out after lifting the thing off the jack with a long scaffold pole.

Somebody at the factory was taking the piss.

hehe
I think it will be previous owners who are taking the piss. For quite a while the LH threads weren't available so people fitted the RH threads which were used all round on later cars. For instance fitting a 2000 back axle to an early car would use RH threads both sides.

On my Morris Minor one of the n/s/f wheel studs had a slot in the end of it so you could use a screwdriver to stop it going round, without which you couldn't get the wheel on or off. This is because I broke one of the studs one day, used a bolt the right size with a slot cut in the end to get the car usable again, and then, because it worked, left it like that.
