When I go into the hairdressing profession, I will certainly consider one of these.
Thats the most predictable comment since the weather man mentioned rain this morning on TV. For the record, I have never met a hairdresser who drove a Boxster. British Beef, have you had the pleasure of driving a Boxster S?

When are Porsche going to go back to proper special editions.
Like a Cayman RS in the true 2.7RS or 964RS mould.
When they decide it's profitable to do so, which may well be never.Like a Cayman RS in the true 2.7RS or 964RS mould.

Is £50k not an aweful lot of money for a car, that you can buy almost an identical looking Mk1 bar of soap for about £10k?
Styling is as dull as a standard S, the paintwork is duller and as for the marginal power gain and "jump" in torque of 7ft/lbs, what a load of marketing sh!t.

I love a black box - even on a blonde
LolHad a Boxster (amongst other Porsches) enjoyed it, best car all-round compared to other convertibles I've owned and driven (tvr/s2000). It's fast, practical (for a car of that type), well built and can take a real hammering
What's not to like if your actually thinking of buying one, its got a few extras thrown in for less money and it looks good in my view at the moment, although it could look very dated in 3 yrs time.

Surely the 996 911 weighed more than this, and produced less bhp, and managed the 0-60 sprint in well under 5 seconds according to most contemporary magazine tests.
Are we to assume that the boxster S is significantly heavier than the 996 (Assume not) or has much less traction as it's not rear engined, given that it figures nearly 0.5 seconds less for the same sprint?
Or is this just a case of the Porsche marketing department ensuring that the Boxster S's true performance is always rated as less than the 911?
