Banking crisis, global warming, world wide recession, high fuel prices and now the wrong interior. Where will it all end?

yes

Probably a bit of a shock, but give it a while and he/she'll learn to love it. It different, in a good way IMO.

Kick up a proper fuss but suggest that he will accept it aslong as they reduce the lease payments by the same amount he is contributing extra per month. Hey presto brand new beemer with leather for no extra cost....

PS - I do realise that the above suggestion may not actually work in real life.

That's my first thought- it will grow on him if he keeps it. At least it doesn't look like a coal bunker now!

Stick with it and spend any spare time gained from doing so, trying to work out why the reaction to a fairly everyday colour brought up such strong feelings about dog poo.

Use their mistake like a financial baseball bat to beat the living crap out of their wallet.

That colour leather is vile, see plenty of white 3 series specced with it here, I'd be going for funeral black on black on black on black.

So its a company car (leased) ?
and he has put his private plate on it ?
Odd.
Not odd at all. Cherished plates are common on lease cars.

Is it that bad in real life? I almost ordered one last year with that dog st dakota colour combination - I'd got as far as speccing' it paperbag

My purchase would have been a company car too. I think if it would have happened to me I would have pushed for something easy to change as a sweetener, say larger alloys or something non factory fit? Maybe BMW HQ to "borrow" and M5/M6 for a week? Not sure you'll get any money out of them, they could pass that car on quite easily.

That looks more like Saddle Brown than Cinnamon Brown.
