Driving home from work last night around junction 23 on the M6 (between Liverpool and Manchester) all the motorway gantry signs are displaying " Cumbria High Winds ".

As per the title, SO fkING WHAT? I'm nowhere near Cumbria, I'm not going to Cumbria, I doubt most people around me are going to Cumbria. Just WHY?

Whats next " Warning Ice in Antarctica "?

Does somebody sit in the control centre being dared to put complete bks up on the road signs? Nice to see our money being so well spent, better than it being needlessly wasted filling all the potholes and making our roads driveable again!

You complain, but let's face it, we'd all love to be in charge of those signs.

I'd just put "No Entry" above the M25 and enjoy a clear route for once.

S'pose it would be fun. Bet you're not allowed anywhere near the thing when working your notice period. hehe

Drove to Cumbria up the M6 last night. Not particularly windy, no traffic problems, great drive. The signs must have frightened everyone away, so lets keep themsmile

10km? That's not a pothole, that's a crater.

If I was driving a high sided vehicle north on the M6 I might like to know that the weather up North is also bad.

Yes, I could have worked it out myself.

But really, did it cause you any harm?
