Whilst the snobs on here like to slag off other people's cars it's a bit much when the staff do IMO.
Lets see what YOU have managed to make shall we ?
A lot of work went into that and it looks a damn site better than most cars on the road.
In fairness, I did say that the change of bodywork was an improvement over the original Cougar bodywork...Lets see what YOU have managed to make shall we ?

I have absolutely no doubt that the chap's work has been a labour of love, either...I just question the point of making a 168bhp coupe look like a 250mph hypercar...

Don't wory about performance, like I said, you can only do 70 anyway. The important thing is the imagine it creates. People will look and think you're successful.
Great answer. Crying with laughter here. I think you have got worryingly close to a genuine kit car builder mind set over the last few posts.
Like so many things in life the question is WHY? I'm not disputing the skill that goes into building something like that, in fact this one actually looks half convincing and I couldn't even sketch the thing let alone build it.
I mean, can some one give me an idea of the point here?
Scenario A: Buy this thing with the intention of "fooling" people into thinking it is real, in some way making you feel warm inside.
or
Scenario B: Buy this thing with no intention of pretending it is real, answering honestly when asked about it but justifying your 55k purchase as "a bit of fun" or something along those lines.
Either one makes no sense to me, I am genuinely interested in the psyche of someone who would purchase this.
.....Seeing this thing crawling off the line with an asthmatic cougar soundtrack would be hilarious.

I just left something in the gents that I could happily describe as being significantly hard work. It shared many similar properties with the faux Veyron above but I'm not going to try and charge someone £55,000 for it.Lets see what YOU have managed to make shall we ?

Don't know what the interior is like, but with proper badges and wheels, it isn't a bad effort. In passing it would quite convincing.
Not sure about its scale next a real veyron though.
Still a big no no in terms of buying something like this.
"Proper bages and wheels" from memory the wheels cost 15k each but I have no doubt you could call a Bugatti dealer with your Visa number for some bages! My house would probably not cover it!Not sure about its scale next a real veyron though.

I wonder where the line is drawn - replica vs the real thing and what is good or not so good? For example:
Some great 'replicas':
Jag C-type
AC Ace
AC Cobra
Ford GT40
Lancia Stratos
Ford RS200
Bugatti Type 31
Lotus 'Westfield' 11
Porsche Speedster
Kind of annoying if you own a real AC Cobra and everyone asks you, is it real mate, or a kit?

our sincerest apologies to those who do remember it
It was one of Ford's less successful coupe attempts
As one of the less appealing results of Ford's 'New Edge' design philosophy of the late 90s, the transformation from 'Cougar' into 'Cougatti' is arguably a visual success
the change of bodywork was an improvement over the original Cougar bodywork
All a bit unfair and OTT really. This is supposed to be a place where we don't st on cars, it's a step far when staff are on it too. There are PH members who own and enjoy their Cougars, why go out of your way to alienate them? It was one of Ford's less successful coupe attempts
