Can anyone make a case for this?!

I can usually find some reason as to why someone would buy a particular car, but I am really struggling to make a case for this, given the price:

Unless that car has aditional optional extras to those listed then the is no case for this car, as a new one, with the same spec listed in the ad for this car comes in at circa £38.6K

Fully spec one of these and you can top £40K........ for a Golf....

Just been on VW site and spec'd up a Golf R... OK I was being un-realistic with the options, but it came to £43,400.

At the end of the day, the Golf is probably the most overrated product in the world - especially the cooking versions.
