Suzuki Ignis Sport

Sounds about right for your needs. I wouldn't worry too much about aftermarket alloys especially if they are in good nick, it means the owner cares enough about their car to look after it.
Now lowered springs is a different matter...
Good point but I thought sticking bigger wheels on them was supposed to spoil the handling abit? Now lowered springs is a different matter...

As for the lowering part goes, I put aftermarket springs on mine when the potholes in this area had ruined the ones already on. Not much difference on the ride quality side of things, but less roll and more grip in corners. (Spax)
As for the collour bit goes, I truly think that every colour of this car gives the car a different outlook and character. IDK why. :/

I think the standard Ignis Sport came with a Straight through stainless steel exhaust, which was specifically developed to optimize the car. I'm not 100% positive on this one as when I bought mine the previous owner had already fitted an aftermarket exhaust on it.
It had a little chrome end on it as standard.I've had an 05 plate from 1000 miles up to 92000 today. Done 18-27000 per year in it.
Good car. Converted it to LPG and 250 miles costs around £20 to fill up.
Best with good tyres - best are Michelin Pilot Exalto 2. Next are Dunlop SP Fast response then Falken ze912 then Yokohamas Advan(good in dry but awful in wet). Falkens lasted 22000 miles.
It is noisy above 60 and fuel consumption drops drastically above 70.
With a power to weight around 130bhp/tonne it pulls like many 170bhp cars up to 60.
Really suprised Leon FR's for example.
Needs a better stereo.
Seats are comfortable.
Firm ride. Good feedback.
Reliability: 2 recalls. Circlips and airbag. Check for a pink band on the drivetrain (google it).
Brakes - good.

I bought one today and swapped a Leon Cupra R 225 04' (dealer gave me the Ignis and £1200 ) and the Ignis is 10 times more fun. First impressions - love it. Had a smile on my face for every second I drove it. I have stalled it about 4 times now; it seems to need some revs when pulling off, light flywheel I'd imagine?
It handles brilliantly, I'm taking it for a run to watch a stage event on Epynt in Brecon on Sunday from Cardiff which should be perfect territory for it.
It makes a great throaty sound lower in the rev range and pulls hard after 4k. The 107bhp really belies its ability, surprisingly quick - and that's stepping directly out of a Cupra R.
Echoing the thoughts of some on here the stereo could be better, tiny speakers F + R will never give great sound.
All round I love it. I've priced up a stainless mid sports exhaust from Prospeed @ £275. A good idea in anyones experience? Oh and yellow PH smiley is in the post..
Buy one; it's new and retro all at the same time, can't recommend it enough
EDIT: Few pics

One more thing worthy of note: The car runs much better on 98ron fuel (Super Unleaded). Big time. Good car. Converted it to LPG and 250 miles costs around £20 to fill up.

I mentioned this to a guy I worked with 4 years ago who used to be a chemical analyst for a fuel company. He advised (and I have tried and anecdotally confirm) that if you put 10% (i.e. 4 litres) of 99 ron - vpower / tesco excelium and top up with 95 ron, you will get fuel that the car will react to as though it is 98 ron. It seems to work. Saves £4-£5 a fill (and some weeks I fill up twice a day for 8 days running).
I would welcome others opinions if they try it.
I also have an old thread on "honestjohn.co.uk" - backroom relating to adding 10-15ml acetone to the fuel tank when I fill up with diesel / petrol which also acts as a surfactant and gives 5-15% more power (or better fuel economy). Worth considering.
(and it will not dissolve rubber seals at that concentration!)

I did try mixing the fuels for a bit, 50/50, but it seemed a little less efficient (economy wise) so I just stick to Vpower or T Momentum. Except my last half tank I filled up with normal supermarket stuff as I couldnt find high octane anywhere. The car is very unhappy I've done this, and is letting me know as such.I mentioned this to a guy I worked with 4 years ago who used to be a chemical analyst for a fuel company. I just use Momentum, seems to do the job.
A hoot Brecon and back today, got to go on my own and had a big grin. I will say it does get a bit floaty above 'a certain speed' but I've got odd ditch-finder tyres on the front which really annoys me so will be going for either OEM A043s or possibly 21s; if they make them in 185 55 15
